I also recommend electric heaters in rooms you use. I put an electric fireplace in my bedroom and leave it on at night and close the bedroom door at night. This saved me $ 45.00 per month on my gas bill. My electric bill went up about $ 13 per month so do the math. Here is a link to the best electric fireplaces on the market. Dell laptop only starts in safe mode?

I have a dell laptop that runs windows vista home premium. I got the virus from Facebook where it asked me to download a more current version of adobe (I'm a moron I know but I had a good reason for wanting to see the video it was trying to get me to view) I have ran my antispyware (superantispyware and malware bytes) it has removed everything (no more virus show when scanning) but my laptop will only start in safe mode I have tried system restore it says system was restored but then boots in safe mode. I am clueless as what to do PLEASE HELP

How to get rid of the b through the walls?

I live on the 4th floor in my apartment building and it is on the same side as the boiler room. So when it kicks in real heavy it puts a b sound through my walls and that travels right through everything and even when I lay my head on my pillow to go to sleep. It's ammonia burn. High contents of ammonia in the water cause the gills to bleed and "shrivel up". you can try doing a 50% water change for 3 days but if its as bad as you are saying I wouldn't hope for any recovery. Ammonia comes from rotting food, under filtered waste, over stocked tanks and more. If you have a 10 gallon tank don't put more than 5 tiny fish in it and that is being very generous. Good luck!

Why did my Chinese Algae Eater die!?

Look and see if his gills are moving, but I can pretty much ure you that if he's not dead, he will die soon. Once fish are to the point of not being able to swim, they will not recover. Okay, there is a lot to know about fish keeping and you obviously are a newby :-) The tank being to clean is the reason the fish died... when you start a fish tank, it goes through a process called "Cycling". Simply put, fish need certain bacteria in the tank in order for there waist to go from toxic chemicals to not toxic. "Cycling" is the process of establishing these bacteria colony's in the gravel, the filter and all over inside the tank. When a tank cycles, it goes through 3 chemical spikes, ammonia, nitrate and nitrite. This process takes about a month to complete. You have already started this process by adding fish. The fish probably dies because you are having a spike, most likely the ammonia spike. So, you will need to get a test kit so you can keep track of where you are in the cycle. Once you start having spikes (which I'm sure you already are) you will need to do a 20% water change every day. When you have had all 3 spikes and everything is at 0, do a 50% water change. The day after that, test your water again and if everything is low, the cycle is over and as long as you NEVER take out the gravel or take out to much water, you won't have to ever worry about it again for the life of your tank. There is a lot to understanding cycling, so search "aquarium cycling" if you really wanna know all about it because what I just told you is really just a very short summery of what's really going on. A few other things that are important for you to know to keep all your fish alive and healthy - when doing water changes, always add the water conditioner before you put the water in the tank. Also always make sure the new water is the same temperature as the water already in the tank. If you don't have a heater and a filter, get them because the fish will never be healthy or live long without both. If you can only afford to buy one at this time, get the filter because it is the most important piece of equipment in your tank. Try to avoid buying fish from any retail stores such as petsmart, petco and walmart, there fish are often inbred and in poor health making your odds of keeping them healthy even lower, try to find a store that specializes in just fish, there fish are usually much higher quality and healthier. Never clean a fish tank, after the cycle is over, just do a 20-50% water change once a week and your fish will be happy and healthy. The electoral college is a fair enough way to elect a president who must oppose the people if necessary while representing the Union. It doesn't matter if you won or lost the presidential election. Getting rid of the electoral college would change our form of government. I like the Republic that I pledge allegiance to. I do not prefer a Communist form of government.

I called my place of employment numerous times between June 9th, 2009, and July 4th, 2009 without any returned phone calls as to my schedule and paycheck. My father wound up calling on my behalf, since I was not receiving any acknowledgement for my phone calls, and he was told that he could pick up my paychecks since I was not in the area, as well as that he could speak to the manager (who he had spoken to via telephone) when he arrived. All managers and supervisors were absent, although my father was told to come in on a particular day. While he did pick up my past due checks, he did not get to speak to anyone as to an explanation of why my phone calls had not been returned or if I had/had not been terminated. I filed a complaint with New York State, and they reached the company that I had been employed by. Their reason for my termination was that I did not try to get in touch with them for my schedule, which is untrue (I left voicemails with my manager, as well as spoke to other staff via phone). It is now five months since I had been hired, and I still have not received a notice of termination. Since I had been told by my manager when I had been hired that my schedule might not be consistent due to the economy's current condition, and people not scheduling events as frequent as in the past, I did not seek out other employment, since I never knew when I would be due to work. I was also always notified the night before, whenever I was scheduled to work. What rights do I have as an employee that has not yet been officially notified of termination?

Nighttime pottytraining?

My son will be 4 soon. He's been daytime trained for almost a year, and we started the nighttime training about a month ago. We did pull ups for a while but then moved to underwear. At this point, he does not get himself up in the middle of the night. We get him up to go before we go to bed and then at some point when we wake up in the middle of the night we take him (between 2:30 and 5:30am) For the last week he has been wetting the bed before we even get him up the second time. He sleeps very deeply so I think it could be a while before he wakes himself up to use the bathroom, he doesn't even wake up when he has wet himself. We do restrict his liquids in the evening, and he will hold his bladder for up to 5-6 hours during the day. Any suggestions, ideas? I hate to put him back in pull-ups but helping him change his pj's every night isn't going to work very much longer.

Aviary canary suddenly died!?

I just purchased a Princeton 19" LCD monitor with a 6 ms response time. looks good, but what i would do is get 4gb of Ram instead, and upgrade your video card to a Ati 5770 or Nvidia 260gtx. the 250 just isnt up to par with the rest of your system. also if your planning on making this for gaming you only need 4gb at most anyway. games dont rely as much on the Ram as the video card.

My baby stopped sleeping through the night?

My daughter has slept through the night since she was 6 weeks old with no problems. When she was 3 months old she started to wake up numerous times (almost every hour for 5 minutes) crying/whimpering but when she was in a semi sitting position (car seat) she slept straight through for 9-10 hours. We started her on acid reflux medicine when she was 3 1/2 months old but she is still doing it.
