What would be a good pattern for a fleece blanket that I am making for my boyfriend? Need some suggestions. ?

Okay, so i was thinking about making a fleece blanket for my boyfriend for Christmas. The only problem is that I have no idea on what kind of pattern to use. He's nineteen. Isn't really into any certain sport or sports team. Some advice would be great. Thanks! :)
