How do i settle in to university?

Turn up at a few freshers meetings of clubs or societies which interest you. Smile at your neighbour in lectures and maybe ask their name. If you are in a student residence smile at people and maybe ask them in for coffee. Don't worry, most people find acquaintances fairly easily and some of them will become friends. After all, many of them are looking for new friends too.
