Should coaches be able to touch a trophy before they win it?

i think it defeats the purpose of winning the trophy. for instance, i just seen that mike mccarthy, coach of the green bay packers, touch the vince lombardi trophy. that just doesnt seem right, i think it chips a little bit of his dream of winning it off. what do you think? do you think coaches should be able to touch what they are playing for, or should it be dangled in their face to make them more hungry?
