Do you think the United States is morally obligated to sometimes militarily stopping genocide and atrocities?

Yes I too think that. People that can help should. That goes for all situations, not just war. But in the instances you mentioned above, there is no reason to look the other way if we know what is going on. That has to stop. We are the country that is most able to help and we should step up and do it.
